Terms of use
The service
ResearchReels is run by Fred Isaksson AB (organisation number 559421-4032), Uppsala, Sweden. It shows short trailers that introduce published research papers, each with a link to the full paper. The service is a pilot: it may change or stop. How trailers are made, and the licences we rely on, are described on the About page.
About the trailers
- The trailers are summaries made with the help of AI and read by an AI voice. They are simplified and can contain mistakes. The paper itself is the authority: read it before relying on a finding.
- The trailers have not been reviewed or approved by the authors, their universities or the journals, and do not represent their views. Featuring a paper is not an endorsement by them, nor by Uppsala University.
- Each trailer is an adaptation of an open-access paper published under a licence that allows it (CC BY, CC BY-SA, CC0 or public domain). The paper's authors, journal and link are shown with every trailer; the trailer itself is a changed, shortened version.
- Nothing in the service is medical, financial or legal advice.
Your account
- You sign in with a code sent to your email, or with Google. Keep access to that inbox or account to yourself.
- You do not need an account to watch or share trailers. An account lets you save trailers and keep your feed settings on all your devices.
- One account per person. You must be at least 13 years old.
- You can delete your account at any time from the account button in the feed.
Fair use
Do not try to break, overload or misuse the service, collect other people's data from it, or use it to send spam. We may suspend accounts that do.
Sharing
You are welcome to share links to trailers. A shared link tells us that a visit came from a share, not who you are.
Liability
The service is provided as it is, free of charge. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from using it or from relying on a trailer.
