ResearchReels shows short trailers of new research papers. This policy explains what we record when you use it, why, and what you can do about it. We have tried to keep the data we collect to what we need.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Fred Isaksson AB, organisation number 559421-4032, Uppsala, Sweden. Contact us about privacy at contact@researchreels.app.

Who processes the data for us

Each acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive it in a portable format. If you have an account, you can download your data and delete your account yourself, under the account button at the top right of the feed. Deleting the account removes your email address and saved trailers and breaks the link between your account and any usage records. For anything else, write to contact@researchreels.app; we answer within one month.

You can withdraw consent to remembering your device at any time with the button above. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.

Researchers named in the trailers

Each trailer names the first author and the journal of the paper it summarises, as the paper's licence requires. If you are an author and want a trailer corrected or removed, write to contact@researchreels.app. More about how trailers are made and the licences we use: About ResearchReels.

Children

The service is not aimed at children. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Changes

If we change this policy in ways that matter, we will say so in the service and, if you have an account, by email.
